[Pre-Intermediate]
Of course, our behavior might vary from extroverted to introverted depending on circumstance. However, it's fair to say that we are usually one or the other. So, how about you? Are you and extrovert or an introvert? If you don't already know which one you are, you can take this online quiz and find out. Keep in mind that both these personality types have their own unique characteristics. It's not an advantage to be only one or the other, rather, both are very special. What about your brother or sister, or even your best friend? Is s/he more extroverted or introverted?
Here's an interesting video I found of someone who was tired of being an introvert and decided to start a club:
For the Pre-Intermediate II - Writing II assignment, I asked you to talk about a friend or about someone from your family who has a different personality from yours. You can write your text as a comment below. I have also written one as an example.
Cheers,

About my friend Janet...
ReplyDeleteI think my friend Janet and I are very different people. I'm an extrovert, but she is more introverted. She has some good friends, but not many. She likes individual activities, but not activities in groups. She usually only talks to people she knows well. At first, you think she is snobbish, but she isn't. She's just very shy. I like her a lot though. She's a very good friend.
My brother Rafael is introverted and a extroverted person.i am the same.We like talk a lot and listening. We have a lot of friends. But my brother are more shy when he meet a person, lather he opened him self.
ReplyDeleteMariana, I don't remember your brother being very shy. I guess you're right. Maybe he's a little of both. You can ask him to comment about you too.
ReplyDeleteI found a couple of things in your text that I would like you to change.
"We like talk a lot and listening."
- After the verb "like", do we use infinite, gerund, or normal form?
"My brother are... when he meet... later he opened himself."
- Here, all verbs have to be in the present and check the conjugation of these verbs. Are you sure it's "my brother are"?
Thanks for sharing your ideas with the rest of the class. :-)
I think that my brother and I are different. He likes to be the center of attention and sometimes he talks without thinking, but in some situacions we are similar. We like to talk a lot and we have many friends.
ReplyDeleteMy brother is fun but sometimes a little irritating (:
I think that my sister is one mixture of extrovert and introvert. She's happy, cheerful bat a little nervous. She likes attention, but in one party she doesn't talk much. My sister is very fun.
ReplyDeleteI think is this.
i think that i and my brother are very diferent. Because I'm an extrovert and he is an extrovert and introvet.
ReplyDeletei like to stay around the nature, but he like to stay around the city.
he prefer to win in the competition or activity, but i don't like so win, more to participing at the activity.
he's a geek and i am not a geek.
i'm extrovert because i like no making news friends and to talk very much.
Kevin, it really sounds like you and your brother are very different.
ReplyDeleteAbout your paragraph, take a look at these two things:
"I like no making news friends [...]"
- After the verb "like", we use infinite. You did this in other sentences but probably forgot here. Also, 'new' is an adjective so it doesn't have a plural form. How about saying 'new friends'?
See you in class.
My friend ingrid is a very extrovert. She have a some friend, talk about everything and she is a active person. She loves making a new friends in school and partys.
ReplyDeleteShe is very funny and doesn't like staying home
I think I'm more extrovert than my friend. She is very shy, pensive and when I go to her mother store or her house she is studing. Or studing. She doesn't go out but she loves practicing sports, in particular, soccer. I'm different, I like going out, going to the mall, to the restaurant,... but I'm not a sports fan.
